These PYREX® flat bottom boiling flasks have short necks with tooled mouths. They are manufactured from No. 7740 borosilicate glass. Wall thicknesses are carefully controlled to provide the proper balance between thermal expansion and mechanical strength for greater shock resistance. Their excellent chemical durability results in contamination-free results and long life under the toughest lab conditions. The normal working temperature for PYREX® boiling flasks is 230°C. 50ml take a No. 1 rubber stopper. 125ml take a No. 2 rubber stopper. 250ml take a No. 5 rubber stopper. 500ml take a No. 6 rubber stopper. 1L take a No. 8 rubber stopper. 2L take a No. 8 rubber stopper. 6L take a No. 11 rubber stopper.
